My favorite thing of the new Project Runway has been model Kojii Helnwein.
I was so sad to see her leave and not continue on to Bryant Park.
Kojii can look like she stepped out of another decade or like she can rock your face off.
I hope we get to see more of her in editorial and on the catwalk.
Or more of her on stage as she sings and plays the guitar.
For now you can check out her blog and official website featuring her music. It looks like she’s touring in her native Ireland.

So it has been a few collaborations since I was excited and anticipating a Go National! line for Target. The last few left a bit to be desired.
Kate and Laura Mulleavy are amongst my favorite designers (I love to fantasize about a collaboration between the ladies and Tim Burton). The sneak peek that appears in the December Marie Claire has me SUPER EXCITED for Rodarte and Target getting together.
I must have the sequined skeletal dress ASAP.
The Best is that their inspiration for the collection came from love for their favorite films: Harold and Maude, Bonnie and Clyde & Rosemary’s Baby.

and totes unrelated but as I was browsing through Marie Claire I ripped out this photo for my inspiration board:

I’m always down for Jenny Lewis.
Especially when she’s got a gaggle of cute back-up singers in tow:

Song: Noir Et Blanc by Brigitte Bardot

Halloween was so fun. It was great stepping into a decade past. I really wish I could switch from brunette to blond…I guess if I can brave it, my wig will allow me that option.

I love everything about this girl. Her dark hair, dark eye makeup, nose and her elegantly pleated crisp white dress. Finished off with a classic Chanel bag.

Wendy Bevin has been creating quite a stir with her images – most recently with her English Party spread in the November issues of Italian Marie Claire. Now that her website is up and running you can browse through this and older works from the Jazz singer/fashion photographer. I love that she’s so inspired by Jazz. You can hear and see it in her work. Become a fan on facebook and check out her pretty photo albums.

New single downloadable here. just enter your email addy.
co-written, produced and mixed by beck. she sings in english and french.

Jennifer’s Body did nothing to make me change my mind about crushing on Megan. In fact, it made me crush even more. Girl Crush. Girl Crush…not sure how long I’ll be crushing…but honestly, after watching this, can you question it? Even the so called ‘indie hipster’ mag Nylon has fallen captive and put her on their October cover.

While in NM I found my way to some new mocs (in Taos) and a sprinkle of deals at Goodwill. Below are some of my faves.
new mocs to replace my paint splattered pair:

awesome new preppie check blazer I scored for $5:

Here are some nice shots of my finds strewn across my parents’ home…included are new black boots for the coming winter months…a houndstooth blazer, a leopard prints skirt and blouse, pleated khakis, cream dress, mean green lace dress and a blue beautifully drapped swishy gown…

I live in Chocolate City, Work for NPR, am currently working on an MA in Interior Design, Love my roommate, friends and Kitteh, "Bits." Day to day I find more and more beauty lurking in the oddest spots. Rouge My Knees is an accumulation of notes on what I find whets my curiosity for all things toxic and pretty.
I love sharing my view of the world through the photos and links posted here.
