I loved this cartoon growing up – it was on steady play when I was home and in front of the tele.
I forgot about how creepy and cute it is. I also now realize how slightly innapropriate my crush on the evil baron may have been…boozing up young girls and taking them to dark scary castles.

Where to even begin. I can’t stop gushing over a new discovery, (thanks to the stop at the Mutter Museum) of a talented artist who brings back all my childhood thrills with paper dolls. They were the go-to trip memento for me in every gift shop – great b/c they then provided hours of entertainment on road trips.
Lisa Perrin’s work is so dark and whimsical. After browsing her Etsy Shop, you can see she has a wonderful sense of humor.
I brought home the conjoined twins to frame.

Now I’m making plans to assemble an Edgar Allen Poe and affix him in a shadow box for a permanent reprieve
{with some glitter and maybe watercolors for the wallpaper!}
and I’m sure a few of these will make my b-day wish list…

They are so wonderfully dark. Sylvia with her cigarette and oven. Marie Antoinette with her head cut off.

Roxie, eat your heart out!

Sigh…

totally obsessed with these industrial lights. I’m working them into a project.
Also dying to have the flowered chairs circa 1971. They just scream WASPY golf club powder room to me. I could design a whole world around them.
The PISTACHIO AGA Six Series cast iron stove did make its way into my house project.
How awesome is the Heather (lavender)? and they have dark blue and aubergine!

Short film Directed by Maximilla Lukacs and Sarah Sophie Flicker

I’m adding these Lladró Unicorn Bottle Stoppers to my fantasy wish list.
Unicorns in my fantasy bar! Most of the Functional Beauty items are part of my list…I should just call my list Functional Beauty.

I’m really into mixing florals and prints in a way that is so over-the-top it works. Also, a big fan of matching bedding to wall paper.
It must be done with a very skillful hand, otherwise the charm is lost.

With my upcoming project for school, I’m looking to these images for some great guidance and inspiration. It’s trickling into other areas, like my wardrobe.
I just bought a vintage flowery men’s Brook’s Brothers tie off Etsy, to wear with an obnoxiously floral fitted button up.

It’s scary, I remember a pants jumper I had when I was about 8 or 9, in this exact print. It had pink bows down the front. Man…some things just re-emerge don’t they?

I’m thinking that a gathering of all my nail polish and going to work on my toes and paws is in order. After seeing this photo (Ringo Have a Banana! ) I’m excited to try my hand at doing my own nails with Pastel Flair.
It would be a great help in getting use out of the several bottles of polish just sitting in my medicine cabinet.

I actually may need to run out and find myself great lavender and turquoise lacquer.
These nails would be ideal with my MLP dream hair.
Another option, ( if I realize I’m not very good as swirling colors!) would be the following:

When I was in Taos for the holidays, I found some wonderful craft treats on the cheap.
My favorite, a bell jar for my room.
Made complete with song birds, florescent stones, moss and feathers.

Yay to doing stuff that makes you content.
Eventually, I’d like to put a bat skeleton in the jar.
Right at home under my elk horns.
It’s all so perfect right behind my Museum of Jurassic Technology porcelain memento I got in L-LAY on my last visit.
If you are ever near the museum, it’s a MUST.
I fittingly stored coins from my cute Liverpool boy’s pocket.

I live in Chocolate City, Work for NPR, am currently working on an MA in Interior Design, Love my roommate, friends and Kitteh, "Bits."
