and I was wearing a 1940′s turban.

Dita admits to owning over 350 corsets (her faves by Mr. Pearl) and a large collection of taxidermy.
the list of reasons one should move to europe, let alone paris, is in my view endless…though burlesque diva, miss dita von teese, does make a great argument when she recently was quoted in Inked Magazine:
Paris. As an eccentric, I feel most comfortable there. I was having tea in one of my favorite restaurants there recently, and I was wearing a 1040′s turban. I looked around, and I saw two other women in turbans. They were like, 90 years old, but I thought, “This is the place for me!”
So lately I’ve been contemplating first, where does one buy said turban and secondly, can I pull it off? Thirdly…what do I wear a turban with? So, I was happy to see these photos posted on two of my favorite blogs, garance dore and the sartorialist (published by none other than newly happy couple Garance and Scott Schuman). The purple one is just divine. I should hope to find something as special and pull it off so well. Spring is a time for new beginnings!

I just love how she works the turban and the awesomely large frames.
