and your design.

I’ve got a new blog up dedicated to 101 Green ideas, products and information on a sustainable {while still being fashionable, mind you!}, existence.
Check it out———————->

It’s also for a class project, so help an art student out and get to reusing, recycling, & reducing!

My favorite Thanksgiving ritual involves a screening of Hannah and Her Sisters. My favorite scene in the film is when Elliot plots his encounter with Lee and then drags her to the bookstore…the romance of being in an old NYC bookstore gets me everytime…

I then read e.e. cummings…

somewhere i have never traveled, gladly beyond
any experience, your eyes have their silence:
in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me,
or which i cannot touch because they are too near
your slightest look easily will unclose me
though i have closed myself as fingers,
you open always petal by petal myself as Spring opens
(touching skilfully, mysteriously) her first rose
or if your wish be to close me, i and
my life will shut very beautifully, suddenly,
as when the heart of this flower imagines
the snow carefully everywhere descending;
nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals
the power of your intense fragility: whose texture
compels me with the colour of its countries,
rendering death and forever with each breathing
(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens;only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
Ok, so the lyrics are suggestive, but it’s the beat I love. Every time I hear this song, I can’t help but get it stuck in head all day…

The song popped into my head today after I discovered this amazing, highly covetable ring from Rabid Fox :
Linda Smyth and Rebecca Pulver created Rabid Fox 3 years ago spawned by their love of the animal kingdom. The line features cutesy animal cast in precious metals. Their designs have a bit of edge to every one and each is created with love in Philadelphia.
available at NEED Supply. It is now on my wish list…..

Beige is a very pale yellowish-cream color.
The term originates from beige cloth, a cotton fabric left in its natural color. It has since come to be used for a range of light tints chosen for their neutral or cool appearance.
Beginning in the 1920s, the meaning of the term beige expanded to the point where it is now also used for a wide range of pale brown shades.
The first recorded use of beige as a color name in English was in 1887.
