In an attempt to maximize and make use of my free time this weekend (before I start grad school this week), I fit in lots of movie viewing and reading. I picked up a copy of Under the Banner of Heaven (after watching Big Love on Sunday, I decided it was just time to grab a copy).
The movies I fit in: The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, A Single Man and Leap Year.
All great…all so different. Heath is magic. Lily Cole is beautiful. Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Collin Farrell do a fantastic job filling big shoes.

There just isn’t anything Tom Ford can’t do. He’s proved it time and again with Gucci and his own line, but really…with A Single Man…it’s solidified.
I wasn’t expecting to be so moved and feel so connected to the characters. Visually stunning, but also terribly achingly touching. It’s hard to fathom such a loss and heartbreak. Collin Firth is glorious.

And to round it out…something light and totally mushy.
I can’t get enough of Matthew Goode.
