Zooey:Joe is what Diane:Woody
I’ve spent at least 500 days of my life thinking that Zooey D is the cutest girl. Now I can add that Joe Gorden Levitt is the cutest boy. Hard not to post Zooey and all her cuteness when you’re blogging about the toxically pretty.
Here are links to two great articles in Black Book Mag: Wowie, Zooey! and Zooey& the Art of Sanity Maintenance.

hollister’s bike is so incredible…tho the built in flask just makes it bomb amazing.

I’m falling all over these amazing illustrations from Jennifer Busking. They are whimsy and somewhat dark…whimsically dark.
Thanks to Ez for sharing.

lately I’ve been wearing red lipstick with very minimal makeup on the rest of my face.
This image is so inspiring. I love how she has little shouts of red throughout her outfit.
also love the worn denim. I’m on the hunt for some great boyfriend jeans.

I love how it’s a mix of fancy (the flowers, sparkly bracelets and lips) and dressed up
with totally laid back (basic tank and ripped denim)

Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends.
Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a vintage pink typewriter?
My friends all have laptops, I must have something to make my desk POP.

Fortunately, I do have a very cool dad who kept his vintage typewriter from his school days.
But his is lonely and this pink girl would bring company.
How damn cool looking are these?
I never stopped to ponder that before apple came into sight
we had stylish typewriters.
Love the one called Hermes 3000.

when I do wed
I have visions of it taking place in a field of poppies
he can wear one on his lapel

I’d wear them in my hair
and we’d feast on poppy seed cake
giant poppies would be swell
like the poppies in this performance
they could fall from the sky
Next week I turn 30 and I’m trying to figure out what outfit I’ll wear to mark the moment. Friends are taking me out to dinner and then for classic drinks at a fun speak-easy influenced bar called The Gibson. We’ll be decked out in ’20s, ’30s or ”40s inspired outfits. Currently I’m not set on anything…but if my fairy godmother asked, I’d rock this Christian Lacroix silk and metallic lace dress with some pin curls and red lips – oh and two pamela love gold talon cuffs…one for each wrist…finished off with Christian Louboutin’s Ernesta Satin Sandal.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER Christian Lacroix (b.1951- present)
1978- Worked at Hermes
1981 to 1987- Worked at Jean Patou
1987- Opens his own couture and ready-to-wear business.
2002 to 2005- Creative Director Pucci
Lacroix is known for his opulent, over-the-top fantasy creations, including the short puffball skirt (“le pouf”). His inspiration comes from all over the place —from fashion history (underpinnings like the corset and the crinoline), from international folklore. He favored the hot colors of the Mediterranean region, a hodgepodge of patterns, and experimental fabrics, sometimes handwoven in local workshops. His silhouettes strongly influenced designers in the 1980′s.

I recently acquired a lovely deer skeleton that my sweet cousin Andy found on his land. the poor dear (deer!) was abandoned and has now found its way into my room. I had some fun snapping these photos.
