a place where nobody dared to go…

I vividly recall my mother wearing Chloé perfume growing up. I loved the way it smelled and I adored the peachy packaging. So simple and feminine. I would do anything to have that vintage bottle sitting pretty on my perfume tray.

As I’d do anything to rock one of these looks tonight at a good friend’s graduation shindig tonight.
Le Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.
I’ll just keep on dreaming and channeling these looks through my existing closet.

To say that I am highly excited for Mr. Depp’s new flick is the understatement of 2009. Just alone, the fact that it is centered around ’30s bank robber John Dillinger, and set in the Midwest, is enough to make a girl fall over. Add to that a stellar cast: Johnny Depp in the lead, Christian Bale as the FBI man out to catch him (Melvin Purvis), Marion Colltiliard as his love (Bilie Frechette), Billy Crudup (he’s actually playing J. Edgar Hoover), and Giovanni Ribisi as Alvin Karpis. Layered on top of gorgeous vintage automobiles, haute revolvers will be a lovely, to die for wardrobe curated by the talented Colleen Atwood.
Ms. Atwood has a long glorious resume…she teamed up with Tim Burton on his most visually memorable films: Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Planet of the Apes, Big Fish and Sweeney Todd. She also did the wardrobe on the film Gattaca, one of the most stylishy classic, yet futuristic and forward costume work in film. (My faves in bold).
As if this was not impressive enough, her first Oscar was won for the costume design in Chicago. This, my friends, is all the proof we need to be sure Enemies will be brilliant. It also seems that she and Depp have a knack for great collaboration. Her second Oscar came with 2005′s Memoirs of a Geisha.
Colleen Atwood:

oh, and I almost forgot, the yummy Channing Tatum will star as Pretty Boy Floyd.

Marion looks quite a bit like Billie Frechette. The real Frechette was 26 when she met 30-year-old Dillinger. She described him as a gentleman who did right by her, “John was good to me. He looked after me and bought me all kinds of jewelry and cars and pets, and we went places and saw things, and he gave me everything a girl wants. He treated me like a lady.”
Depp will surely do right by Dillinger. Vanity Fair has a super special feature on Depp, giving us a peek into his magical world———>here.

WHATEVER WORKS
dream come true? when larry david is starring in a woody allen flick
{with a script written in 1977}
a wildly fantastic dream has come true.

classic woody tale with a new cast. larry david will play “curmudgeonly physicist who falls for a much younger woman, played by Evan Rachel Wood, who being 21 and Larry David being 61, would qualify as a much, much younger woman, even by Allen standards.”
Story from NY Mag is———————> here.

we all know and adore Warren and Faye in the 1967 Arthur Penn film. Tonight National Geographic will air The Real Bonnie and Clyde. The documentary will detail Blanche Barrow’s memoirs, eyewitness accounts and newly released FBI files.
I found a great site with tons of photos and history on the love gang.
